Roy Lee Taylor was born on April 14, 1958 in Oxford, North Carolina to Mary Helen and Willie Taylor. He departed this life on April 3, 2019.
Memories of his life will forever be cherished by his sister and brother: Sheila R. Latta of Butner, North Carolina and Larry Taylor of Americus, Georgia; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Fanita Taylor and Orlando Latta; one uncle, Johnny Taylor; one aunt, Eloise Frazier; his nieces: Barbara Smith, Arielle Sample, Mikeema Taylor, MyKisha Clanton, Ciera Taylor, Tiana Taylor and Teresa Taylor; other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Loretta Jones Monson of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00 at the Eastview Church of Christ in Americus, Georgia with Bro. Willie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.
Loretta Jones Monson was born on September 9, 1962 in Americus, Georgia to Georgia Jones Solomon and the late Jimmy Lee Jones Sr. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. On June 14, 1980 Loretta married Lloyd Monson Sr. and they were married for 23 years. Loretta passed away April 8, 2018 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. She was preceded in death by one sister Betty Ann Thornton.
She is survived by four children: Stephanie Monson, Lloyd Monson Jr., Tiffany Monson and Shanieka Monson; her mother, Georgia Solomon; two grandchildren: Chelsney Monson and Tiana Monson; her mother, Georgia Solomon; three sisters: Ozzie (Bell) Solomon, Vivian Solomon, and Christy Sterrett (Roger); three brothers: Jimmy Jones Jr. (Erica), Willie Solomon Jr., and Jermaine Solomon Sr.; auntie, Sandra Thompson, cousin, Gail Denmark; six nieces: Latoya Jordan, Anquania Mitchell, Diamond Davis, Raven Solomon, Ebony Solomon and Suzanne Monson; six nephews: Preston Davis Jr., Jessie Thornton Jr., Corey Thornton, Colby Thornton, Jermaine Soloman Jr., and Devanushtae Smith; two uncles: Albert Durham Sr. and Maurice Durham Sr.; aunts: Thelma (Joe) Dodson, Gloria (James) Moore, Brenda (Rodriquez) Green, and Mary Helen Durham; special In-laws and friends: Ilene (Mickey) Lisa Durham, Sue Monson and Keyascha Hollis; devoted friends: Starling Hollis, Shanbrika Brown; a host of cousins and friends also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Reginald T. Harris affectionately known as “Smoke D” will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Zion Hope Baptist Church with Rev. George Frank Monts officiating.
Reginald passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Left to cherish his memory are three children: Brooklyn Haugabrook of Americus, Georgia, Malayshia Pollard of Preston, Georgia and Tobias Smith of Phoenix City, Alabama; his parents: Regina Mann (Melvin), and Charles Harris all of Americus, Georgia: two siblings: Andrica Mann Streeter and Charles Harris, Jr both of Americus, Georgia. Several other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Elizabeth A. Larry of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 1:00 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow at Champ Waters Cemetery.
Mr. Jessie Bernard Thomas was born in Americus, Georgia on June 17, 1963 to Jesse Thomas and Eva Thomas. Jesse passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Lillian Carter Health and Rehabilitation Center in Plains, Georgia. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by West’s Mortuary.
He is survived by his mother, Eva Thomas; his wife, Gloria Thomas; four daughters: Kenyatta Young, Jessica Thomas, Jestine Thomas and Precious Thomas; one son, Jessie Thomas, Jr; two sisters: Delisa Daniels and Sherri Dorsey; one brother, Patrick Thomas. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Sharon Daniels-Robinson of Americus, Georgia will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Eastview Church of Christ in Americus, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at West's Mortuary on Sunday from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Sharon Elaine Mathis, the daughter of the late Mrs. Amanda Casey Smith and the late Mr. Henry Mathis was born on December 5, 1950. She journeyed home on May 16, 2019.
Sharon Daniels Robinson attended Eastview Elementary School and Staley Jr. High School in Americus, Georgia before moving with her family to Palmetto, Florida, where she finished high school. She received an AA degree from Manatee Jr. College in Bradenton, Florida and a B.S. degree from Albany State University. She also completed an M.S. degree and a Special Masters degree from Troy State University. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She became an Educator in Thomas County, Georgia before retiring from Houston County, Georgia as a Special Education teacher. In 2013, she moved back to Americus, Georgia and joined Eastview Drive Church of Christ.
She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Mr. Russell A. Daniels of Jonesboro, Georgia and Mr. Marc A. Daniels (Debra) of Byron, Georgia; a sister, Ms. Carmen A. Mathis (Calvin Pennicott) of York, New York; a devoted cousin, Mrs. Veronica Evans of Americus, Georgia; a cousin, Mr. Craig Dawson (Kimberly) of Tampa, Florida; a cousin, Mrs. Jan Morgan Hill of Plains, Georgia; two grandchildren, Mrs. Shanteria Wallace (Marquelle Sr.) and Mr. Nicholas Daniels (Adrienne) of Byron, Georgia; three great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends survive.

A’niah Nevaeh Wallace the infant daughter of Ny’Aisa Wallace and Jeremiah Robinson Baker was born on November 24, 2018 in Sumter County, GA.
She lived five beautiful months but our Heavenly Father had bigger plans for our Princess. She loved to get pushed around, she also loved to swing and play with her family. A’niah passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, May 22, 2019. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Debra Wallace and an uncle Antonio Gordon.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:45 in Babyland at Eastview Cemetery.

The funeral service for Mr. Frank James Andrews of Plains, Georgia will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Webster Baptist Church with Pastor George Monts officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mr. Frank James Andrews was born in Sumter County on April 6, 1962 to the parentage of the late Rosa Lee Andrews and James Prince. He was educated in the Sumter County Schools and graduated in the class of 1981. Then he joined the United States Army where he served for 10 years. Frank joined the Mt. Zion Webster Baptist Church under the leadership of the late G. W. Nealy.

Joseph Lee Taylor, age 75, of Americus, Georgia passed on Saturday morning, May 25, 2019 at the Pruitt Nursing Center in Macon, Georgia.

Joseph Lee Taylor was born on February 20, 1945 to the parentage of the late Mr. John “Papa Dad” Taylor and the late Ella Mae Hart Taylor. Joseph was affectionately known as “Jody Blue”, was the youngest of three Children. He received his education in the Public schools of Sumter County. He was employed with Wheatley Construction for 20 years and Georgia Seed of Plains, Georgia for many years.
He is preceded in death by two siblings: Mary Lee Hart and Willie Lee Taylor and his grandparents: Charlie Lee and Beulah Hart; two nephews: James Wallace and Gene Wallace and one niece, Josephine Banks.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Elnora Williams Taylor; his children: Teresa (Charles) Durham and Jeffrey (Regina) Taylor; five grandchildren: Korderis Taylor, Brittany Taylor, Jeffrey Taylor Jr. Quashawn Durham and Yazmen Paul; eight great grandchildren: Alieyah, Je’Leiyah, A’nessia, Timothy, Korderion, Kemorrion, Ayden and Darious; three great nieces: Rose Banks, Martha Douglas and Emily Banks; one great nephew, John Banks. Several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, other relatives including devoted friends; Eric Monts and Johnny Murphy also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. James Miles, Sr. of Americus, GA will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Friendship Baptist Church on Cotton Ave. in Americus, GA. Burial will follow at Staley Memorial Gardens.
James Miles Sr. was born on October 29, 1932 in Webster County Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Charlie Will Miles and Mrs. Bessie Hawkins Miles. At an early age he went to live with his grandparents, the late Mr. Sie Hawkins and Mrs. Bertha Potter Hawkins. On August 16, 1951 he was united in holy matrimony to the late Mrs. Virginia Melvin Miles and to the union five children were born. He also married Mrs. Betty Hose Miles, who also preceded him in death. He was a very hard working man throughout his life and owned several businesses during his younger years such as Miles One Stop Service Station, The Ponderosa Drive Inn, and The Astra Club. James also retired from Textron after many years of faithful service. He was also a faithful member of Eastview Dr. Church of Christ until his health failed and, he was unable to attend. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ms. Lucretia Miles and his brother Mr. Willie Miles.
He was survived by two daughters Addie Lamar of Americus GA and Kate Lyles of Albany GA; four sons: James Miles Jr. (Norwana) and Milton Miles of Americus GA, Thomas Jefferson Miles of Albany GA and Magulel Washington of California; a devoted step daughter Christine McClain and a devoted family friend Ellen Miles. He also leaves thirty-two grandchildren, fifty-seven great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Bobby Harrison, better known as "Pappy", was born on January 1, 1939 to the late Zedie and Mamie Harrison. He received his educational training at the historic Flint River Farm School. Bobby acknowledged receiving Jesus Christ as his personal savior and joined the New Hope Baptist Church.
Bobby was United in holy matrimony to the late Helen Loman Harrison in 1962. He was employed as a truck driver at the Old Dixie Farms. Pappy was a self-taught mechanic and welder. He enjoyed visiting family and friends and making his specialized grills and trailers.
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Bobby passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mildred Tuff and Annie Buckles and two brothers: Charlie Harrison and James Harrison.

Mr. William Small Jr affectionately known as “Bro” age 75 of Americus, GA passed on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Phoebe-Putney Medical Center in Albany, Georgia.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion Hope Baptist Church Americus, Georgia with Reverend George F. Monts officiating. Interment will follow at the Israel Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.
Williams was born April 14, 1944 in Americus, Georgia to William Small Sr. and Irene Bivins Small. William was educated in the Sumter County Public School System. At an early age William joined the Zion Hope Baptist Church. William met and later married his one true love Gloria Deriso on January _11, 1964 and to this union they were blessed with four children. This was truly a marriage made in heaven.
He leaves loving memories to his beloved family which include a loving, caring and dedicated wife for 55 years Gloria Deriso Small, Americus Georgia. Calvin Small (Michele) and William Small, II both of Americus, Georgia, Randy Small (Earlene) of Montezuma, Georgia and Gabriel Small (Patricia) of Dallas, Georgia; sixteengrandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Merritt of Miami Florida; two brothers-in- law: Benjamin Deriso (Jackie) and Sylvester Deriso of Miami, Florida; three sisters-in-law: Grace Hunt of Atlanta, Georgia, Maggie Harmon of Orlando, Florida and Mattie Deriso of New York, New York; Several devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
